Q: Is Hemp cannabis?
A: Technically yes. Both Hemp and Marijuana are cannabis plants. The main difference is the level of Delta 9 THC .3%. Which is the maximum allowed by law for Hemp plants. If above the .3% threshold it then becomes a Marijuana plant.
Q: So what is Delta 8 THC:
A: Delta 8 THC is found in both marijuana and the industrial hemp plant. However, there are no legal limitations on how much Delta 8 THC can be in hemp. The majority of Delta 8 THC products on the market are derived from industrial hemp. Delta 8 THC is found naturally in full-spectrum CBD products as well.
Q: Is Delta 8 synthetic?
A: The answer to this is no. Not only is that illegal under the Controlled Substance Act but all of our hemp is cultivated hydroponically and tested every step of the way. We do want truth advertising though. Delta 8 does naturally occur in both Hemp and Marijuana to be able to produce on a large scale some modification has to be made. All of our Delta 8 is derived from pure Hemp. The Ph must be dropped thus causing the cannabinoid bonds to change. Nothing synthetic or “man made” is added to make this change. It is a naturally occurring process. This is then purified and the results are Delta 8. Our products are then tested for purity before going to market. Frosted Hemp is an advocate for regulating Delta 8. For both a matter of safety and quality.
Q:Can I get “high”? Does Delta 8 or Hemp make me feel like I do with Marijuana?
A: We are not allowed to answer that question.
Q: Does hemp help in other ways?
A: We are not allowed to answer that question.
Q: So is it legal?
A: Yes on a federal level all hemp and hemp derivates are legal. The 2018 farm bill legalizes all industrial hemp. A 2021 DOJ letter confirms this stance and can be referenced here. https://frostedhemp.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/DEA-letter-to-AL-BOP.pdf
